Our carbon footprint 💡
In spring 2025, we carried out the carbon footprint assessment of our activities.
A very positive outcome if we consider the ratio of emissions to number of visitors.
Three main areas of work result from this:
- Customer travel
- Purchases and inputs
- Employee travel

Our actions in place 🌿
1. Local Equipment
We are committed to purchasing our equipment from French companies. Our life jackets are handmade by Mack , just 20 minutes from our main base. Our kayaks are boats made by Dag Kayak in France. This means using quality materials and minimizing the environmental impact of transporting and delivering our equipment. Furthermore, we have recently begun transitioning our water bottles to recycled materials.
2. Environmental Education
Beyond simply renting equipment, we strive to raise awareness among paddlers about the rich ecological heritage of the Dordogne River. Information on local wildlife, flora, and conservation efforts is available, helping to educate adventurers and promote ecosystem preservation. Furthermore, our annual river cleanup is an excellent way for everyone to get involved and learn more about ecosystems in order to better protect them.
3. Eco-friendly products
After each use, we clean and disinfect your life jackets and containers to ensure a pleasant experience every time. Our disinfectant is natural, and we select detergents and/or soaps that are of natural origin and Ecocert certified. For other products, we strive to choose those with the highest possible percentage of naturally derived ingredients.
4. Local Partnerships
We prioritize partnerships with local businesses to support the regional and, more broadly, French economy. In our shop, we offer environmentally friendly sunscreen from Laboratoires de Biarritz and beers brewed just 30 minutes from Vayrac by a local brewery in the Corrèze region . We also partner with accommodations and Gîtes de France to offer you a 10% discount.
5. Accessibility for All
Our CSR commitment is also reflected in our desire to offer a canoeing and kayaking experience accessible to everyone. That's why we open our activities to anyone who can swim! We welcome many people with disabilities every summer.
We are also accessible in terms of price. Indeed, to promote the social and solidarity economy and thus make holidays and sporting activities accessible to all, we accept holiday vouchers .
