THE MINI

1 hour 30 minutes: Monceaux – Brivezac: 10 km

A short route allowing you to discover the activity as a family with children or simply to come and spend a summer afternoon enjoying the unique landscapes that the Dordogne offers us.

THE CLASSIC

3:30 am: Monceaux – Beaulieu: 18 km

The wildest part of the Dordogne in the Corrèze region, alternating between wooded hills and fun little rapids (class 2), including the Battut passage. Arrival at the Beaulieu/Dordogne reservoir and its magnificent Penitents' Chapel.

Good to know: We provide you with free jerrycans (1 per boat) to keep your belongings dry during your activities.

As the watertightness of the containers is not guaranteed, we strongly advise against bringing along items that are sensitive to water, such as your cameras, phones… No recourse will be possible in case of a problem.

How it works ?

If you park your vehicle in Monceaux :

After a briefing about the trip, you will embark directly from our base in Argentat to descend by canoe to the arrival point.

Directions: between Saulières and Monceaux / Dordogne, on the road to Beaulieu/Dordogne

Return by Shuttle

After your ride, we will pick you up at the time specified in your rental agreement, to take you back to your vehicle.

From Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, you will take our shuttle which will take you to the chosen starting point.

Arrival base of Beaulieu/Dordogne (Corrèze) – departure of the morning bus: Altillac leisure centre, lieu-dit la Garenne – 19 120 ALTILLAC. Follow “La Riviera Limousine”, the bus stop is at the entrance to the municipal swimming pool car park.

Return by Canoe/Kayak

After the briefing about the ride, you will embark and have plenty of time to descend at your own pace (breaks, picnics) until we reach our arrival point in Beaulieu/D. (maximum arrival: 6:00 pm).

What are the essential things I shouldn't forget for my canoe trip?

sportswear is recommended (swimsuits, T-shirts, closed-toe shoes). Also, pack a picnic lunch with food and drinks for daytime activities. Depending on the weather, don't forget sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses with straps, hats, etc.) as well as sweatshirts and windbreakers.

What is the price of a canoe-kayak rental?

Canoe and kayak trips of 9km start from €23 per adult with online booking. The price then depends on the distance and type of boat. 

What services do you offer based in Monceaux/Dordogne?

On site, you will find a sales area for water shoes, glasses cords, phone bags, caps…

In the village (4 km): all shops, restaurants, banks…

If I wish to cancel my walk, what are the conditions?

weather is not grounds for cancellation or refund. If you wish to end your trip early, we will do our best to pick you up the same day, but no refund will be given for the remaining day(s).
Safaraid Dordogne reserves the right to cancel any departure for safety reasons (high river levels, weather alerts, possibility of storms, etc.). This cancellation will result in an immediate refund of your deposit or a change to your trip dates.

Are your canoe trips in a protected area?

The Dordogne Valley is classified as a World Biosphere Reserve, to help us protect it:
Respect the fauna and flora,
Take all your rubbish back after your walk (bins on the base),
Respect other users and pass far from the fishermen.
