As you descend in a canoe kayak , you will discover the wildest part of the Dordogne, alternating between wooded hills and small, amusing rapids (class 2), including the passage of the Battut rapid. You will pass through the small village of Brivezac before arriving at the Beaulieu/Dordogne lake and its magnificent chapel.

Argentat – Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne: 18 km – 3h30

It's a great classic of our descents on the Dordogne: departure from our canoe base in Saulières, in the town of Monceaux-sur-Dordogne (on the main road between Argentat and Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne).

A few rocks at the water's edge from the first kilometer so that you can tame your canoe or kayak and off you go for a day's descent (unless you want to leave for a weekend or a one-week hike and 120 km, the “queen” of descents on the Dordogne…).

You will pass several campsites along the river and a few small taverns and snack bars (for those who want to be sure, plan your picnic).
Almost obligatory swimming breaks... it's a relaxing day...
Passing through the village of Brivezac, then just before arriving at Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, passing the Battut rapids, before arriving at the Beaulieu lake -sur-Dordogne, with a splendid view of the village and the chapel of the penitents. Welcome to the Limousin Riviera…

Possibility of leaving your car in the morning upon arrival in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne to benefit from the shuttle before the walk. Meet at the nautical base at 10:00 a.m. Mandatory reservation.
