THE MINI
1h30: Saint-Sozy – Pinsac: 9 km
A short route allowing you to discover the activity as a family with children, cliffs, beautiful houses and passing at the foot of the Belcas castle phone number A few steps from the arrival, walk along the small beach and discover the viewpoint on the Treyne castle.

THE CLASSIC
3:30 am: Saint-Sozy – Souillac: 18 km
This is the typical imagery of the Dordogne: numerous cliffs and three magnificent castles perched above the river. Belcastel Castle near the Lacave caves, Treyne Castle with its Relais & Châteaux hotel, and Lanzac Castle.

Good to know: We provide you with free jerrycans (1 per boat) to keep your belongings dry during your activities.
As the watertightness of the containers is not guaranteed, we strongly advise against bringing along items that are sensitive to water, such as your cameras, phones…
No recourse will be possible in case of a problem.
ATTENTION :
The durations are given for information only; they depend on the water level of the river, your level of practice, your pace…
Always allow extra time for your walks.
For example, plan a departure at least 3 hours before the time of the bus you have chosen for a 9km route, time to equip yourself, have the route explained and your break times.

If you park your vehicle in Saint-Sozy:
After a briefing about the trip, you will embark directly from our base in St-Sozy to descend by canoe-kayak to the arrival point.

Return by Canoe/Kayak
After the briefing about the trip, you will embark and have plenty of time to descend at your own pace (breaks, picnics) to the chosen arrival point (maximum arrival: 6:00 pm).
The obligations of canoeing and kayaking:
Participants must be able to swim 25 meters, submerge themselves, and wear the life jacket provided by us.
Minimum age is 6 years old.
Closed-toe shoes must be worn throughout the walk.

What is essential for a canoe trip ?
We recommend comfortable sportswear (swimsuits, T-shirts, closed-toe shoes). Remember to pack a picnic lunch and drinks for the day's activities. Depending on the weather, don't forget sun protection (sunscreen, sunglasses with straps, hats, etc.) as well as sweatshirts and windbreakers.
How much does a canoe-kayak trip ?
trips Canoe and kayak of 9km start from €23 per adult with online booking. The price then depends on the distance and type of boat.
What services do you offer at your St-Sozy base ?
At our base in St-Sozy, you will find everything you need such as: waterproof bags, water shoes, caps, glasses cords, phone bags, drinks…
Nearby, in the village, you will find all shops, cafes, restaurants, campsites, gîtes.
I wish to cancel my canoe trip, what are the conditions?
weather is not grounds for cancellation or refund.
If you wish to end your trip early, we will do our best to pick you up the same day, but no refund will be given for the remaining day(s).
Safaraid Dordogne reserves the right to cancel any departure for safety reasons (high river levels, weather alerts, possibility of storms, etc.).
This cancellation will result in an immediate refund of your deposit or a change to your trip dates.
I don't know the Dordogne Valley, is it a good choice ?
The Dordogne Valley is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. This rich region offers magnificent landscapes, from charming villages and natural beauty to dramatic cliffs and medieval castles. You'll also have the opportunity to discover species such as the kingfisher, the grey heron, and even the European otter.
How can we preserve the Valley?
Respect the wildlife and plants,
take all your rubbish home with you after your walk (bins are available at the base),
respect other users, and keep well clear of fishing areas.
