Our Dordogne River offers a variety of landscapes depending on the route you choose. For those who enjoy canoeing rapids (Class 2) and lush forests, the Corrèze section of the Dordogne is ideal. For those who prefer castles and limestone cliffs, head downstream into the Lot region. We explain everything in detail below!

So, which canoe route should you choose?

I prefer rapids and green forests 🌿

In this case, we recommend departing from our base in Monceaux-sur-Dordogne.

Canoe trips in Corrèze:

🚌 Return bus in the afternoon from the arrival point. Morning bus to take you back to the starting point available in Beaulieu (reservation required)

What will we see during our walk?

This trip will offer you the freshness of the Corrèze water, some small rapids (accessible to beginners) and a green landscape with hills.

I prefer the cliffs and castles of the Lot region 🏰

In this case, we recommend departing from our bases in Vayrac or St-Sozy.

On this canoe trip, limestone cliffs and castles await! The river is calm and accessible to anyone who can swim. There are plenty of pebble beaches for picnics and swimming. For even more castles, choose the St-Sozy base with a finish in Souillac. You'll see three castles in this 18km trip.
