Souillac, a charming town and queen of jazz, located near the Dordogne, is the perfect town for a city break.
Our full-day or half-day excursions are ideal for discovering the Dordogne in a different way. Indeed, the routes departing from St-Sozy offer you a new perspective on the Lot region's heritage, with its magnificent castles, but also on its natural beauty, with its cliffs and iconic animals that form the biodiversity of the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.
Our must-do walks starting from St-Sozy (open in July-August):
- The 9km mini-swim from St-Sozy to Pinsac. Ideal for children who can swim, for combining several activities in the same day, or for beginners!
- The classic 18km route from St-Sozy to Souillac. Ideal for a day trip where you can take your time, have a picnic and enjoy!
Our added bonus : a shuttle bus departs every morning from the entrance of the Pont de Lanzac campsite (left bank of the river) to take you back up to our starting point in St-Sozy. You can then walk back down to your car at your own pace! (Shuttle bus reservation required)
Good to know : For touring holidays, if your stay ends after Souillac we can drop you off at Souillac station on the way back by bus, as it offers a direct train, notably to Paris.
