How to get there by public transport?

Are you dreaming of escaping to the beauty of the Dordogne Valley, but wondering how to reach this peaceful destination from the major cities of France? Carefree ! Here is a practical guide to coming by train to Vayrac from the main towns.

From Paris

The best option from Paris is to take a train from Gare d'Austerlitz to Brive-la-Gaillarde. Once in Brive-la-Gaillarde, you can take a regional TER train towards Vayrac or St-Denis-près-Martel which is better served, enjoying a short journey of around 30 minutes.

From Bordeaux

From Bordeaux, you can also go to Brive-la-Gaillarde by train. Direct trains depart from Bordeaux Saint-Jean station to Brive-la-Gaillarde. At Brive-la-Gaillarde, then take the TER towards Vayrac for a quick and comfortable journey.

From Lyon

Travelers from Lyon can take a high-speed train (TGV) from Lyon Part-Dieu or Lyon Perrache station to Brive-la-Gaillarde. Once you arrive in Brive-la-Gaillarde, opt for the TER towards Vayrac St-Denis-près-Martel for an easy arrival.

From Toulouse

If you leave Toulouse, take a train to Brive-la-Gaillarde. Direct connections from Toulouse-Matabiau station will take you to Brive-la-Gaillarde. Then, board the TER towards Vayrac St-Denis-près-Martel to complete your trip.

And by plane?

There are several airports near our Vayrac base such as Bergerac in Dordogne or Brive Vallée de la Dordogne airport in Corrèze.

From Bergerac airport, the easiest way is to take a taxi to take you directly to the nearest station, Mussidan. Then a direct train will take you to Brive-la-Gaillarde. Otherwise, some car rentals offer to rent from Bergerac and drop off the car at another agency (Brive for example). It will remain less expensive for several people.

From Brive airport, a taxi can drop you off directly at Vayrac (25km).

Once there

Once you arrive at Vayrac or St-Denis-près-Martel station, you can easily reach the leisure center on foot or by using a taxi.

For the return, if you go down to Souillac or further, we can drop you off at the station which offers direct trains to Toulouse, Paris and Brive-la-Gaillarde for Bordeaux.
