As you descend by canoe or kayak , you will pass by Floirac, the castle of Mirandol, the Copeyre belvedere, the village of Gluges, Montvalent and its old oak tree, Creysse, Meyronne and Saint Sozy. Then, on the second part of the walk, your descent will take you through the castle of Belcastel near the spectacular caves of Lacave, the village of Meyraguet, Pinsac, the castle of Treyne and its magnificent hotel “Relais et Châteaux”, the Lanzac castle before arriving at Souillac. In short, a canoe trip full of cliffs, castles and Quercy villages, the Lot!

Vayrac – Saint-Sozy: 18 km – 3h30

This is the most classic of our descents: passage at the foot of the Mirandol castle and the Copeyre belvedere, a swimming break and perhaps a tan before arriving at Gluges, a well-deserved picnic in front of the Gluges cliffs, a little coffee at the tavern of the old oak and you will calmly finish your walk with an arrival as beautiful as ever in Saint-Sozy... There is no more beautiful view of the village of Meyronne than the one you have from his canoe.

Saint-Sozy – Souillac: 18 km – 3h30

This is the typical imagery of the Dordogne: numerous cliffs and 3 magnificent castles hanging above the river. The Château de Belcastel at the Lacave caves, the Château de la Treyne and its “Relais et châteaux” hotel and the Château de Lanzac.

We are 2 km from the village, after the lake and the “Mirandol Dordogne” holiday village. Our base in Saint-Sozy (46) is located at the foot of the bridge between Meyronne and Saint-Sozy, on the right bank. The base is located 16km from Rocamadour and 18km from the Gouffre de Padirac.
