These prices include: canoe rental, paddles, life jackets, one container for personal items per canoe or kayak and insurance to cover for canoe accidental damage.
These prices do not include: accommodation, the follow supplements apply:
- Luggage 5 euros per person per stage,
- Extra containers 2 euros per day.
For camping : allow for about 7 euros to 12 euros per person per night to be paid locally at the campsite each night.
The prices are calculated to include one “Safaraid Dordogne Journey”.
If you wish to take in two journeys in a single day, a supplement of 6 euros per person.
Example : based on two persons canoeing from Argentat to Beynac (the 7 day programme) in 5 days, the supplement will be
6 euros x 2 persons x 2 days supplement = 24 euros

Free coach shuttle
The privilege card entitles you to a 10% discount as a member of the Canoe France network
To obtain this card simply make an application when booking your rental.
This card has NO expiry date!
Practical advice
- Bring with you a dry top/shirt and wear tennis type shoes.
- Always take a supply of drinking water with your picnic.
- Protect yourself from the sun. (Wear a sunscreen, hat and sunglasses).
- For after canoeing bring a sweater and Kagool type jacket.
- Canoeing is accessible to all persons who are able to swim and are physically able.
Cancellations
No refund will be made due to cloudy or rainy weather.
If you wish to terminate your holiday before the scheduled end, we will do our very best to arrange to bring you back to the Base. Please understand, in these circumstances, no refund will be given.
However, Safaraid Dordogne does reserve the right to cancel any departure for security reasons. (eg., river levels too high, unfavourable weather forecast and or possibilities of thunderstorms).
In the case of cancellation by Safaraid Dordogne, an immediate refund or change in the dates of your holiday will be made.
